Be sure to study for the test and bring:

Exam candidates are required to register in the FCC CORES system and receive a Federal Registration Number (FRN). The FRN is needed to pre-register and required to take the exam. Bring the FRN with you on exam day. The FCC CORES User Account and Registration page is https://apps.fcc.gov/cores

Legal photo ID, i.e., Driver's License / State ID, State Firearms Permit, Passport, etc.

Your existing amateur radio license (for those upgrading)

Certificate of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE) for any prior testing credits that are not yet reflected by the FCC
